K.... I'm still not seeing a problem. There are portable hardware drive duplicators.
If you don't wish to go that route, use a laptop with a USB to IDE adapter, and back it up that way...
... or use something like BartPE and Ghost to make an image of the drive... you could then burn the images to DVD. In the event of a total systems failure, you could boot off of BartPE again, load Ghost, drop in the DVD's, and have the system back up in short order (keeping in mind, it will be back up with a "snapshot" of when you did the image)
