I am trying to help somebody who has a Worm on there machine and can't run any programs. We want to get the ACT data (ACT 2000) of the machine but can't run the Backup/Restore program from within ACT- Are there any folders that I can backup directly. I have never done anything with ACT before.

Thanks very much
Jean

Yikes!

You could copy the "data" files directly from Windows Explorer (to a disk/CD, I'd suggest).

I'm not sure if this is all of them, but your Act DB folder will contain files like these, which I've found contain the bulk of the data:

YourCompanyName.adb - Activities
YourCompanyName.dbf - Contacts
YourCompanyName.ddb - ProductsPlus
YourCompanyName.edb - Emails
YourCompanyName.gdb - Groups
YourCompanyName.hdb - H
YourCompanyName.sdb - Sales
YourCompanyName.tdb - D

Good luck!
