Hi, I am haveing a problem printing a publisher file. I have put in a colored backround, trying to achieve a completely colored page after printing. However, when I print the document I still get a 1/4 inch white border around the eges. I have changed the margins to 0.0 and it still prints this way. Does anybody know how to fix this, I really would appreciate it.

Thanks Dutchy

Well, you've answered the question yourself really....

All printers have a "non-printing" area...at least, most printers do...maybe professional printers are in a different legaue.

If you want to check the "non-printing area" of a printer, what you do is this:

1. Get a blank publication, full page
2. Draw a rectangle that is bigger than the page, all around the page. (ie, the rectangle is hanging over all four sides but a good cm.
3. Make sure the rectangle is filled with a dark shade that will show up clearly when you print.
4. Print.
5. That white margin all around (as you found with your publication Dutchboy) is called the Non Printing Area and it varies with printer to printer.

....you need a guillotine..."bleeding" the ink to the edge isn't always possible. Though "Allowing Bleeds" in print set up with some printers may work.

Got to watch that non-printing area!
