Backp failed, and no reported failure in job log

hey guys,
i use Backup Exec ver 9.1, a backup job completed with a failed ststus on my job monitor. on trying to view the job log, i got a message that the log could not be displayed in HTML format and had to display the text format.......going through the text format did not however reveal any apparent failure...all jobs on all servers were successfully backed up and verified...
any on got any idea why i got a failed status on my job.
