Backout plan from Mixed to Native mode change

Hello,

We are about to make the change from win2k mixed to native mode. I'd like to have a backout plan. Thinking about taking 2 of 4 DC's offline, making the switch and testing it for a few days, if it's ok, bring other 2 (mixed) DCs back online and let them sync with the native domain, if not, take the "native" DCs offline, bring the Mixed ones back on and rebuild the native ones.

Anyone happen to know if this would work or if there are any better plans.

Any help/.guidance gratefully accepted.

I have always been told it is an all or nothing deal. With no of backing out. (at least probably not cleanly)
