Backing up wintel box that house a App called LeadTools

We have two wintel systems that house a app called: LeadTools....

We are having a wonderfull time backing these systems up...

Constantly getting error 14's....

Does anyone else backup wintel systems that house this app?

Master = Solaris 9
Media = Solaris 9
NBU = 6.0

I do not have LeadTools but did you try shutting the application down prior to the backup? Also check for defragmentation.

Howdy,

Quickest way should be to call the vendors Application support and see if they have a process established for backing up their product correctly.

Symantec has a PDF flow-chart that may be useful in Troubleshooting the code 14 further.

Solved..............

Well... After months of hair pulling...

The backups start times were moved to a different time..

And poof..... they are backing up just fine!
