Hello, can I pick your brains for a better backup plan than the one I am using.

Currently I back everything up to disk - I have created the media needed for these backups but my problem is CA won't support Disaster Recovery if you have more than 64 file system devices.

I have 28 databases which I backup over the network - I have separated these into 4 groups each with 7 media - Mon,Tues,Wed etc (so I can get a daily backup of each which I retain for a week).

I have a 5 day differential GFS job running on selected servers - 21 media

I also have a GFS exchange job running - 21 media.

All this means I have 70 media running which I have to reduce to 64 so that I can use the Disaster Recovery Option.

Is there any way I can change GFS jobs? I want to change the retention on the 'monthly tapes' to mabye 6 months instead of twelve.

Just select the job from within the queue and then right click Modify.
