I have just installed Backup Exec 9.0 and the SQL module for the purpose of backing up a SQL 2000 database. I just attempted to backup the transaction logs, and the job failed with the following message,
"A log backup was attempted on a database that is not currently configured to support log backups. To change the configureation use Enterprise Manager to set the recovery mode to FULL in SQL 2000 ir turn off the 'trunk on chkpt' option in SQL 7."

I double-checked the database configuration and the recovery mode is set to FULL. What else might be causing thie problem?

Did you do a FULL backup first? Transaction logs cannot be backed up until an initial FULL Backup is done.

You have to set your database options to allow backup of transaction logs (whether you're backing up using a normal SQL dump or Veritas). To do this uncheck the "truncate log on checkpoint" option for your database. You can do this in SQL Enterprise Manager.

SQLBill is right on.
amangangan....he's using SQL2K, the truncate log on checkpoint is SQL7....
