I need to backup a share with a few hundred sub-directories and then restore that share (same domain) on another server. What options (having never used BrightStor Enterprise Backup) do I need to choose for the backup and then for the restore to keep the security/permissions the same? Note: I lost people on this project and still have the same deadline or I would be testing/researching this more prior to going to the forum.

By default the NTFS permissions will be backed up, on the restore I think it's the default as well to preserve NTFS permissions, make sure the option is ticked anyway.

Share permissions are held in the registry so it's a little more complicated if restoring to a different server. There is an article on CA's site about restoring share permissions - personally though I find it easier to use a third party tool such as Hyena which lets you copy shares between servers and preserves the permissions.
