backing up nds files

i've heard it's possible to backup all nd's objects by backing up some files in the system\etc folder.<br>
is it really possible? how?

Well, one way to do it would be to follow tid 2934033 which describes using install or dsmaint to lock NDS and then back it up to a file.<br>

I use the procedure for swapping out old servers with new servers and it works great!
