Backing up Lync - Do i need IIS config and how to back up?

I have a standard enterprise Lync deployment - 4 front ends, 1 sql and 2 edge.

I am currently backing up the SQL databses, the certificates, the file shares, Export-CsConfiguration, Export-CsLisConfiguration and using Dbimpexp.exe

However I have also heard I need to back up IIS - why is this and whats the best way to do it? I currently use a scheduled batch file for all the above each night and copy it to a remote file share for back up to tape..
