Backing up Internet Mail Connectors

We keep getting errors while trying to back up our internet mail connector.

We've tried using ArcServe 9, with corresponding Exchange Agent, we've also tried ArcServe 2000.

E8601 Failed to connect to agent (Agent=dbaexch,EC=Remote Proceedure call failed)

We've tried all the usual but nothing.

Anyone have any idea.

Make sure you connect to the agent with DOMAIN\username

I was told by CA Support that internet mail connectors cannot be backed up. Not sure how trust worthy their support is?

Thanks all for your help. We've double checked all username /password issues. I have also seen that Internet Mail connectors shouldn't be backed up on CA's support site also. What we'll do is stop the service on the box, do a quick backup once a week.
