Hello All,

I need to back up the Exchange Server Store, Exchange Directory and Information Store on my Exchange 5.5 Server.
Veritas Backup Exec requires that I map the exact location of these three things. When I search the the C and E partitions on the Exchange Server, I find no trace of any of them.
Where do these three things typically reside within Exchange 5.5?
I have two partitions (C & E) and Exchange is installed on C.
Thank You,

Luke

Luke,

You need the BE Plug in for Exchange then it picks the location from the server.

You can't back them up at a file level as they files change in use so you would screw up the backup. To do this, you'd need to stop the Exch server first then back them up then restart the services.

The files are priv.edb, pub.edb and dir.edb and are located in the mdbdata folder inside exchsrvr by default.
