Will someone please explain how to configure Backup Exec 11d to backup Exchange 2003 Mailboxes. This will be greatly appreciated

I believe that's in the Backup Exec documentation. And backup of individual mailboxes is generally not recommended (unless you work for Symantec).

Plan for performance, and capacity takes care of itself. Plan for capacity, and suffer poor performance.

To backup individual mailboxes (brick level backup) in Backup exec, you will need the exchange agent.

This method uses plenty of tape space, as all the mailbox's and the mail store is backed up, efectivly backing up exchange twice.

It's often worth just enabling a 30 retention of deleted items, if you have enough disk space.

Cheers

<fx: hysterical laughter> Such understatement ...

= it is a bad idea. And it won't take long before you can't do it within your backup windows anyway.
