Backing Up Exchange 2000 database fails with Arcserv2000

I am trying to back up an exchange 2000 server using the exchange agent and Arcserv 2000 SP4.

When performing the backup of only the exchange database "Microsofr Exchange Server" from the agent selection the job always fails but never indicates why. When I add the brick level to the backup job tit will run but comes back as incomplete and does not appear to have backed up the databases themselves, though also doesn't indicate what failed.

Have any of you seen this before and if so how was it overcome?

Hello!
It's allways a problem to save MS Exchange with Arcserve.
But it is possible.
I let install the arcserve from a specialist. It was a trial-Version. 3 weeks later i install the Licence-Key.
Now the Problems began. So some thing about my experiance:

You should have the right Licence-Key-File
You should have the last service-pack
The access-rights of all used user-acounts must o.k.
Once, when errors prevents the save, we deinstall and install the agents once more and it was o.k.
Backup Agent RPC-server: Sometimes this service stops autmatically and nobody knows why. Since the new installation it's no problem.

So this was something from me. Much succes with going on arcserve.
