As far as I can tell, in order to be able to restore all DTS packages on my sql server instance, all I need to do is have a backup of msdb - is this correct, or should any other actions be taken on top of that?

Many thanks

If you are storing them in MSDB then yes but, if you are storing them in files then you would need to backup the files.

Thanks kodaksmile
They appear in the Packages folder if looking at them in Enterprise Manager. I think this means they're stored in MSDB?
It's been a long time since I had anything to do with Sql Server 2000

Someone has pointed me to DTSBackup2000:

It's a free tool to backup and export packages to files or to other instances.
