Backing up DFS Shares

I have tried backing up some DFS shares by selecting them from Remote Selection and User Defined Selections, but Backup Exec always backs up just the link definitions and never any of the data. In fact, the BE Administrator doesn't even show the directories or data under the various DFS links. Any ideas? Thanks.
