Backing up Clusters

I'm using Veritas to backup my servers on a separate backup network. I have a clustered server with 2 nodes. I want my backup policy to backup the virtual/host server instead of the 2 physical servers. How exactly would I go about configuring the cluster, etc for this? How do I create the virtual ip address for the virtual server?
