I'm trying to backup my CICS using NRU 9.0. I keep getting an error message "Map file 'APE00ENG' is required'. Is this a required file of some sort? Thanks In Advance.

Yes, every single different software cart. release requires a different .map file. Every time Nortel adds a new release of software, a matching map file is needed.

Marv01, thank you for the info. Is there somewhere online to purchase & download NRU 10.0?

Try doing a key word search on this forum for it. At one time, Nortel had it on their server unprotected. Don't know if they intended for it to free, but it was. Might still be there.

Also, if you purchased the 9.0, you might be able to get a free upgrade to 10.0 ?????????????? Not sure.

If you have a licensed copy of NRU 9.0, I believe the update is free. The trick is trying to get it!

we have MICS 4.1, and I downloaded NRU 10.0, I was planning to do a backup soon so are you saying it will not work for my system?
thicks, if you need NRU 10.0 post your email.

Google search for "Norstar Remote Utilities" will find it on the web for < $350.

obobob, NRU 10.0 will work with CICS/MICS6.1 backward to CICS/MICS2.0

Thanks for everyone's responses, this site hasn't let me down yet. I was able to get 10.0 from Nortel's site for free! I was quite shocked, believe me. Marv01, the link I found using the keyword search was right on. I hope everyone uses it.
