So we started working on BCM 400 when 4.0 came out. Have one customer who we inherited a 3.7. They want to do a backup. We have 3.7 that we came across we keep for a rainy day. So trying to do backup and am unable to figure out correct Destination Drive. Know it needs to be Remote drive.
Created a shared folder on my computer but unable to figure out path. Wish they had browse like 4.0.
Have tried:
C:\Users\Chiden\Desktop\BCM 3.7 Backups\092113
\\Chiden\Desktop\BCM 3.7 Backups\092113
Tried putting USB into laptop computer and directing it that way. Chiden\F and Chiden\F:
So basically I'm out of ideas. Seems like only allows one \. Could anyone provide a valid destination they've used so I can use that as a new starting point.
Also. Is there a way to use USB on front of unit like we can with 4.0 I don't see anything in docs.

The older BCM 200/400 systems prior to 4.0 used Windows NT and therefore the USB port wasn't usable. The backup process is a little tricky. Here is how I did it below.

LOGICAL NAME: BCM400 (This can be anything you like such as e.g. BCM400)

LOCATION: \\192.168.1.10\BCM_BACKUPS (192.168.1.10 should be your computer IP address or Name)
(BCM_BACKUPS must be your shared folder setup with full read write access)

USER NAME: TTUK\DAVID (TTUK = Domain name. Must have "\" and your account user name)

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

Firebird. Thanks for replying. Question on folder BCM_Backups. Can I put that on my desktop? Or does it need to be put somewhere else? Like My Documents? Or does it not matter and BCM will find it as long as I've created it as a shared folder?
