Hi All,

I have a customer who is currently using Robot/SAVE to backup their AS/400 systems to locally attached 3590 tape drives. They are interested in centralizing their backup process to a single robotic library that can be shared with their other systems - Windows and Unix (Solaris and some AIX).

What connectivity options will work for a library to be shared between AS/400 and the other systems. Should a few of the tape drives in the library be directly attached to the AS/400 servers (via scsi or fibre) or can we share the library (connected to a SAN) among the different clients?

Many thanks for any thoughts, ideas, suggestions...

Ram
