I have a client that is moving and they want their BCM 400 ( which is in great shape ) to me reinstalled. I want to back up everything onto my laptop just in case. What is the correct way to do this?

Log into the system and perform a backup of it to your pc not the BCM. Is this BCM pre 4.0? If so then the procedure is a little different cause you use unified manager instead of element manager.

Yes it is 3.7 pretty old but it works like a champ!

Download and run BRU - Backup and Restore Utility.
