I had a ACS R7 fail. I used my spare R7 and restored it from original backup card of failed R7. I ordered a replacement processor. My supplier sent me a R8. Will I be able to transfer the backup data to the R8?

Yup, put the card in before you power up, and it will load the program all by itself
