I'm backing up a mail server with Netbackup 3.4 Datacenter (client and server are both Solaris 8). There are 500 subdirs in /mail, and I just want to preserve the directory structure without actually backing up the files in each dir. Is there a way to do this with an exclude_list? And if so, do I need to explicitly specify each directory in the exclude_list, i.e. "/mail/0/" all the way up to "/mail/499/"? It's got me stumped so far, but I've only been using NBU for about 3 weeks now. Any suggestions?

You can use the exclude list with wildcards to exclude all after the last / you want to backup.
