Okay I have a problem with my shared borders in FP2002.

When I add a background colour(or a picture) it displays just fine in the design and preview modes of FP, but not in the browser.

I believe that I have done this before in previous versions, but definitely not this one.

All I want is a dark blue border in the left and top borders - not rocket science! Jonathan Challis

Nope - this is running locally of my hard drive. IT's for an intranet, so it will just sit on one of my own servers evertually.

Having reviewed some previous work, I have definitely done this before in FP2000 with no problems - this worked locally and when published.

I can create a workaround in the top border but placing the entire border in a table, and then shading the table. Top borders are finite widthed though, the problem with the left border is it could be of any length, so this does not work. Jonathan Challis

You must have found some kind of workaround to coloring shared borders in earlier versions--it's a new feature in 2002. It does show up locally on your computer, but it will not work without extensions. As a workaround, you could try a table and set the height to 100% and see if that works.

Good idea - one I should have thought of....

It still didn't work though (in fact it looks as if the 100% height setting is being completely ignored.

If I could get this workaround to do the trick, then that would be fine - I've no great aversion to a rootlevel table in my borders. Jonathan Challis
