I want to insert a background to my form and images for my buttons and other objects.
The problem is :
i m trying to create a resource file (.RES , containing the images which i need) and insert them at Design time in order to manage alingments and positions of each button textbox etc (at design time).
I can insert the pictures at run time but if i do so i wont have a good control on how my form ll be displayed
Can you help?
Thanks

The purpose of the resource file is to have pictures, sounds and texts available at run-time to load dynamically.
If you assign pictures etc at design time, you won't need the resource file. Right?

Hello Herman,

you are right, but in a resourcefile you can change the resources more quickly. For example if you want to create a mulit-language-application.

Ok So...
I want to distibute my application (it should contain pics, wavs etc) and the customer should not be able to have 'direct access' to the pictures ,wavs , etc.
One solution is Resource files but i should be able to use them at design/run time.
If i put them inside a folder then user could open them with a picture viewer etc.
What do you suggest???
