OK, I'm new at Adobe and I wondering how we can have no background behind the letters we make in an image.

I Just want letters for the image.

Vedgemen: simply define a new page,
RGB, white background. Then with or without
Anti-Aliasing with respect to the white page.

When you start a new image, in the "new image" dialoge box, check the "Transparent" box and that will give you a transparent background. When you go to publish it, make sure you publish as a ".gif" (I think ".png" also alows transparency but is much larger in file size and not widely used) so you can carry the transparency to you're optimised image.

Another thing is, if you have already started you're image and don't want to start again then just delete you're current background (so long as you have nothing important on it) and that should give you what you want.

Hope this helps roda B-)
