Ok I'll admit it ..I am dope.. :) Have been searching for the solution to my BKgd Image not showing..So far no luck..
I am using DW8 and it shows just fine. when I test in either Opera or IE or Netscape9 no image..
The CSS source is as follows
#content{
float:right;
width: 82%;
margin: 0;
padding: 0 3% 0 0;
background-color: transparent;
background-image: url(../life/images/backdrop14.jpg);

The Page is here

I will admit that I am new to this stuff.. saw something listed here that said add a dummy content but don't know what that means

Any suggestions will help
Thanks

As can I. "big sunset over watery plain"

As Vrag says it may be you are working off a cached version, or if you are using Dreamweaver's preview, it may not be copying the background file to the temp directory where it puts the files to be previewed, so it doesn't show up.

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

Thanks to Both of you... What seemed to be the problem was my proxy server..I'm still stuck on dial up. For some reason it was not letting the image come thru.. And the only way I could get the answer that made my day is Asking an outsider..
Thanks again.. This kind of stuff drives me nuts!!!! From now on I will believe DW. :) yeah I had dumped the cached.. cleared everything..
