background colur of swf file is lost

Hi everyone

I have created a swf file that is made up of buttons. the buttons are purple with grey text so I have filled in the background colour of the MC with purple as well. When I run the swf file that I have created from this everything looks and works well. When I bring the swf file into a MC as part of a new movie I am creating I lose the background colour of purple.

So why do I lose the coloured background ??

please note that the new movie is mage up of 3 MC's and I only lose the background colour on the button MC

when you bring a swf into another swf the background color is always that of the main swf.

to keep the purple you will have to create a purple rectangle on the bottom layer of the swf holding the buttons

It seems the list of things I don't know grows daily, but I am having fun so no complaints
