background colour is filling in table backgound image

Hi there,

I have a background images in a number of table cells, the problem being that the body colour is filling in the white area of the background image.

Has this happend to any one before.

Not 100% sure what you mean? Have you got a transparent GIF as the background image and you've set the BGCOLOR of the table/cells?

the gif is not transperent

heres what i'm doing,

It's hard to know what's going on really. If I copy and paste your code and place my own image I don't have any problems. Don't want to sound patronising but have you tried things like: cellpadding, cellspacing etc?

If worst came to worst try rebuilding the page. If you're using Frontpage (or sometimes Dreamweaver) they can alter your code as they see fit, which isn't always best. &quot;Life is like a Ferrari, it goes to fast.

i'm not using dreamweaver or the like for that reason.

though i do have a transperent gif over the top of the cell, but this shouldnt effect the image underneath, if i understand correctly.

Stumped mate! You can send me the file and the cell bg image plus the transparent gif over the top and i'll have a look if you want. Other then that, sorry.
