When I use a password to open/secure the backend I get an error message when I use the frontend !
error 3031: no valid password !

How can I solve this problem ?
I got a big access handbook, but that's not telling what to do. It tells about using/creating a password but doesn't mention about this error.
Please does anybody nkow what to do about it and still using a password for the backend !

What do you mean by opening? Are you linking to a back end database that you password protect afterwards? If so, then you need to remove all your links and add them again. It should ask you for your password and save it in the links for next time.

If this isn't what you mean, we need more info & perhaps some code samples.

Cheers

Ben
