I have a computer that is infected with the backdoor madfind virus. I have Norton antivirus and in the removal process it says to check off auto protect. But it is grayed out and will not let me check it. I went into the options and tried to check it off in there but it is grayed out there as well. Anyone have any solutions or ideas? Could this be caused by running the computer in safe mode evan though thats what the website sayd for the removal of the virus? HELP!!! Thanks

Sounds like your NAV may have been killed by the virus. This happens, as viruses are getting written to specifically try to kill AV in the process of them infecting you.
I would advise a reinstall of NAV.

Good luck.
