what is the best way to do a full system back up
is there a program that will do it for me so all i have to do is burn the output file to a cd (i have samba so i would transfer it to a pc with a burner)

I use flexbackup from [tt]/usr/ports/sysutils/flexbackup[/tt]

I think the man page and sample configuration files make it relatively self-explanatory.
