Hey everyone,
Never tried this before but is it possible to back-up a NAM remotely? I am doing a channel upgrade tonight and was going to save some time by doing it from here. But, I would like to back it up. Any ideas?

I am pretty sure that you have to be there on site to change the disks.

Yes you must be on site to change disks.
You need to backup the programming in F983 and also the Sekur file in F915 which saves any keycodes you have entered.
I did a backup of a NAM once with 300 mailboxes and it took 16 disks to do so therefore make sure you bring enough disks.....it will prompt you to put the first disk back in when it is about to complete the backup.

Thanks for info, I was hoping I could get away with it but kinda knew I couldn't. Oh well, gotta make a trip down. Thanks and everyone have a great weekend!!!

I submitted a suggestion to Nortel to allow backups using a TFTP server. I have not got a response. That would be sweet if they did though.
