Back up CICS

I recently installed a CICS 6.1 system. I set up the IRAD. When I dial in and connect it seems to take away my option to do a back up. I can programm O.K but i cannot do a back up. I am using NRU 10. Can you back up a CICS VIA IRAD or any other means?

i have not backed up a CICS, but you must be ableto do that

make sure the system programming box is checked, before you try to click the backup button.

and make sure the NRU is the latest as in the original 10, there were MAP files missing

You should have an Icon in your ICS Programming Tools NRU shell that is named BACKUP and RESTORE Tool. You can backup and restore all CICS releases except 1.0.

I was told you need the latest and greatest NRU 10.1
