Back to my 4.1 SIP Woes.

Right,

Brand new defaulted switch
active licence.
VCM4

A SIP Profile.

But monitor, With SIP tracing on and LAN Port tracing. I am only seeing the communications/ARP between my laptop running monitor and the IP Office itself.

There is no attempt what so ever for it to register.

The config, is the same as others I have working and have checked triple checked every thing.

Whats going on here then hey??

Have you got rerun stun on start up ticked?

The sip will not even try to register if re run is not ticked.

Right,

Sorry to back this one up. But same configs different units.
Some send out registration and if I monitor the interface I see it routing over the DG to the ITSP.
Others don't. NOTHING.

I have even this up on a cisco switch and setup a monitor port from this and run wire shark. Again Nada.

Please be aware out SIP Provider does not require STUN.....

Any further ideas guys.

Do you have tel uri unticked?

can you mail a monitor trace with just a sip filter?

bas there is no point. There is nothing.
I promise you. Nothing at all.

I havent got the config on this machine so cant answer the other q.
However same config works on one IP500 and not another.

Make new sipline leave all default fill in;

tick Registration required and In service and maybe RE-Invite.
Check what codec your provider uses mostly G711 or G729

I really appreciate your help.
It is pretty much as stated, with any ITSP specifics added.

Also I have a default route.

I promise you the issue is as described.
out of 3 IP 500's 2 simply do no even start the registration process yet the other does.

Are you sure you provider is ok, and that you can ping the ITSP IP and Domain?

A always try to use SJPhone before i install it on the IPO's

how about dns server filled in? if you are using the name rather than ip then no go, but you should see ths on wireshark. try using ip only across the board.
