Back door to a legend mail.

How would I go about setting up the last line in the hunt to be a backdoor line to voice mail. This is what the customer wants, dont know why. I know we have to get the LEC to eremove the line from the main hunt group. But after that I dont know. Not sure what voice mail it is. It is the card in the system(so I am told) Isn't there a Merlin Legend Mail as well as Merlin Messaging? Would the programming be different between the 2 VM's?

You would just need to assign the line to the Voice Mail calling group. You may need to remove its pool assignment first, as I seem to remember that if a line is in a pool, you assign the pool instead of an individual line, and that pulls all the lines in.

you can also change the calling group extension to a DID if you are using DID numbers. Then people can just call in on the DID line to get to the voice mail.
