Back Door Password for Partner Voice Mail PC Card Large

Here is an intresting Quirk.
I have a Partner Voice vessaging PC Card (Large) that I can not get into extention 10's programing area. The default password, 1234, will not take and the user does not have any other password. I have tried "2537" with no luck. This VM does have 1 AA and all the system programing is done threw MB 0. I have tried to initalize The Mail box and the password. The system says that each it has been initalized however I still can not get in and the recording stays the same. I have even tried moving the mailbox to another extention but I can not do this unless the mailbox is in an initalized state. I just need to get in to mailbox 10 and change the message so their is no key pad tone. All other MB's are working fine.

This is the intresting part.

The user after recording their message acidently pressed a numerical button before the recording stopped. Now after you here the greeting and the key pad tone the caller is told goodby and hung up on without ever having the oppertunity to record a message.

Please offer any helpfull ideas.
 
Check to see if the record mode is set to announce, through option 8 of the mailbox user's menu.
 
I tried option 8 in the administrators "mailbox 0" menue but it turns out that this particular pc card has no option 8. I got "that was an invalid option".

I would love to here any other ideas you might have.
 
After you log in as 0#, 1234# The mail box is number 1 for mail box 10, 2 for mail box 11, etc. as long as its still defaulted. When you dial the mail box number 1, 2, 3, etc. it will tell you what intercom is assigned to it. Hope that helps.

As TTT said, check the USER mail box, option 8. Just listen to all the options if "8" is invalid. There is no option "8" in the admin level.
The other option is to "reinitialize" mailbox 1. This will set that mail box to a fresh state. The password is 1234 as you did initialize that.
One thing to try is see what the mapping is. Go into "assign a mail box to an extension" in the admin level. Enter each mailbox (1,2,3 & 4) to see where it is assigned. Do not change the assignments. Just write them down. This should tell you everything you need to know.
