Bacjground colour changes in Input Box???

I have an input background colour set in the css as follows, works fine in Firefox but in IE 6 it sees the colour from the css, puts the right colour in the right place, but then
switches to a yellow colour, any Ideas?

I've been told that it is a Google toolbar issue, if so is there a wat around it

input { background-color:#C0DCC0;}
textarea { background-color:#C0DCC0;}

turn off autofill highlighting on your Google toolbar
