Hi all...
I have an installation of bab v9.01 with tape library option, san option, and some agents. In order to manage and check/compress only ONE database instead of five I choose to use the central database configuration. It works fine, but I have one problem. I use the gfs rotation on every server who is backed up, so the operator (the man that physically manage the tapes) must see the media prediction, because every backup job needs a specific tape. The operator, of course, usa his local installation of bab, jumping to one server to another to see (i.e.) the status of the job, the media inserted and so son. But can't see the media prediction! Every time the prediction (from the operator installation) report a "blank media" to be used. So I have to go on every server (physically), log on, open bab, go under media prediction a print it.... not so funny.
I tried to logon on the master of the san, who is the central database recipient, and to print out the prediction frome here. No way, the same "blank media" request appear.
Any idea ? The operator can't go and logon on EVERY server, it's impossible ...
Every installation is at the same level (bab 9.0 plus 9.01 update), the caroot pw is (of course) the same for every server, the database contains NO ERRORS, and every job on every server runs fine and close in the right way.
