BA, MBA, Oracle DBA
Does this sound like a good starting point for a resume?
I worked in biomedical research for twelve years and now have three years of management experience. I've been thinking about changing my career track to IT for 5+ years now and have finally decided to go for an Oracle DBA certification. It may be possible to get some occasional Oracle project work through my employer, so I will be able to get some experience, plus I live in the Boston area, and the Oracle demand seems very real, despite the "recession".
Any suggestions of anything else I could do to improve my marketability would be very much appreciated.
