I have a tech on site who is unable to access B5800 through manager - since customer has made changes to their LAN they are effectively out of service. Is there a specific version of IP Manager that he needs? I freely admit he is in over his head and I don't know how this happened but now we are stuck because a customer is down. Any help desperately appreciated.

After further review, the B5800 install manual refers to R8 10.0 Admin, which is what he is using. He can ping from the lan port using the IP address the customer gave him but manager won't open. If this helps. I tried to pull off this job once I realized it wasn't the SMB IP Office that I am familiar with but it was too late...any help appreciated.

i was in a B5800 recently and used a version of manager that was 6.1 made for the B5800 not IPO.

New IPO Managers doesn´t work with ABG5800.

Check support page for B5800 or ABG5800 or Branch 5800.

Latest release is 6.2.xx

Good luck.

Cheers.

I don't think 6.2xx is official yet, is it?

FWIW, the B5800 versions of manager and VM pro are NOT compatible with the IPO versions... they use the same registry entries, I think.

I've found that I need to install the B5800 software on another laptop.

Apparently the 6.2xx version of Manager (B5800) fixes this issue, don't know about the VM pro version though.

I had read that you needed 6.1 for B5800. The install manual, when it references further documentation, points you to a doc number that is for 8.0 so I was wondering if they had changed it recently. We dodged a bullet because the network changes did not work, so will be handing it off to a different company for the next go around.

So now (thank goodness) this is just for my continuing educations purposes. I have also had problems with loading two different versions of Manager on the same PC and just keep an older version on a separate machine. But I am still not clear as to whether the B5800 uses the same manager as IP Office (assuming the correct version) or whether it has its own version? I am an SMB person, not an enterprise one, so I might just not be seeing the links to the correct software on the bus partner web site?

It has it's own version.
