B2D help

I want to creat a new B2D file each time you run a backup job, set the Overwrite protection time on the media set the job is targeting to 'infinite-do not allow overwrite'.


but i also want to continue to backup to a single DLT that is internal w/ no overwrite protection, but when i change it in the Tools/Options to get the B2D
to infinite-do not allow overwrite, it
changes for the DLT and then at nite pops out asking for new media.
how can you
do set that diff for the B2d and the DLT separately ?

In Media tab, right-click User Media Sets and create a new media set for your B2D folder or whatever. You just need a 2nd media set w/appropriate settings for the 2nd job you are running.

Yes, but it takes the Tools/Options default and
doesnt allow me to option on the new media set to set
one on the B2D with no overwrite.

is there a way around this? because it then changes the one already set on my DLT working fine

Dude, work through this, you can do it!!

Tools|Options|Media Overwrite...set to Partial-No Prompt.

Media tab, right-click the media set, choose Properties and now set the Overwrite Protection to say 0 hours for no overwrite protection at all.
