I have been using photoshop for years but now i have a weird problem. Anytime i use the selction tool to copy and paste, the resulting image is always feathered. Just to be clear i am not selecting the feather option from the select tab, I am only using the rectangular marquee tool alone.
Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks in advance!

Does the marquee tool have feathering set in its own options?

...yes, check the "Feather" field of the marquee tool in the toolbar at the top of your screen, as spamjim mentions...

...to set the default back to zero, launch photoshop, click the marquee too, set feather to zero, quit and relaunch...

cant believe i missed that!

seems the feather option on the marquee tool was set to 1px.

Thanks for the help!
