Running Enterprise 9 and have a seperate web box using Server 2003.

When I load the Web Connector on the 2003 box, not only does the World Wide Web Publishing Service (Web Connector Service) install, but a Server called HTTP SSL and WinHTTP Web Proxy Auto-Discovery Service as well.

The WinHTTP is stopped, but the HTTP SSL is running and it won't stop. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and the same thing happens.

I have this running on other Web Servers, but they are all 2000 machines and only the World Wide Web Publishing Service loads. Has anyone else seen this and know what it is??? I can not find anything on these services anywhere.

None of these services are Crystal services. They are all IIS related (IIS 6 in the case of the Win 2003 box). Confusingly Crystal does not filter them out of the service list in the CCM.

World Wide Web Publishing Service is actually your IIS (try stopping it and you can't get to anything!) Web Connector does not run as a service, rather as a ISAPI application.

The World Wide Web Publishing Service is the only service listed in the Crystal Configuration Manager on the 2000 Web box, but all 3 are listed in the CCM of the 2003 Web box. The World Wide Web Publishing Service is what points to the Crystal Server to access reports.
