[b]Cross-Tab rpt in Crystal not showing field[/b]

I am using 9.0 Crystal with Oracle db. I have added a table to an existing cross-tab report and if I look at the fields of the table from the Field explorer Data Base Fields, the field I need is showing 'update_action'. However, if I try to add this field to an existing or new Cross-tab report, it doesn't show as an available field under the Report Fields to select from for Rows, Columns, or Summerized Fields.

I can add the field to the Details, Report Header or Page Header.

Any ideas???

What's the data type?

Perhaps it's unsupported for some reason.

You might use a SQL Expression and CAST it to a common data type.
