Hi there,

Is there a possibilty to include the generation of an ODBC link within powerbuilder? So that you do not have to go to start - settings etc, but only double click on the *.exe file of your powerbuilder file and the program makes an ODBC link.

We need to have this because the program has to be deployed on many workstations.

I really hope someone could help me.

Thanks in advance.

Well normally within the program you establish a connection via a database driver like ODBC. This normally is done automatically once the user logs in (for example) to the application. The database driver has to reside on the client machine but you could include it with you application files.
