Is there a way to change the back color and/or the shape of a Command Button? I would like to jazz up the standard grey rectangle.

Jack

you can change the back color, comes under the background option in the context menu (right click menu).

however I don't think you can change the shape of a command button...

although you might be able to draw a custom shape, define it as an object, give it event procedure, and then use that as a command button..

Oh, almost forgot, what you can do is to use a picture as the text of the command button, and if you set the picture to be full size of the button, and then set the button's background to be transparent, then you'd have pretty much a different shaped button...

yeah, only remembered after I hit the submit...

have to admit, I never used it myself, only saw it as an example somewhere, but thought it looked rather snazzy and worth remembering...

although I'll probably forget about it when I do come to a point where it'd be useful...

yes, you're right, you can't change the background of a command button...

looks like you have to change the picture on the button or to set the background to transparent, and use the form's background...
