I'd like to be able to set one size for the labels on my chart or at least force them to have the label on one line. Right now it seems crystal set the length and decides whether to make a second line. For example, my chart has a data label:
'Count of really important stuff'
but no matter what I do to the size of the bar part, the label turns into:
'Count of really important
stuff'
When I select the label it doesnt let me cahnge the size only allows moving it.

Perhaps you cna truncate this label using a formula?

The solution may be altered base on your software version, at any rate, always include it.

And post what KIND of label you're speaking of. Data label? Axis Label,? or?

You can also grab the chart itself and increase it's size, which should allow for larger labels.

Thanks, yeah the extra info probably wouldnt hurt! The Version is XI (Release 1) and this applies Axis Labels I tried the re-sizing the charts which had not effect on the labels no matter how small i made the chart object inside the main chart object. I'm curious to see what/how the formula you mentioned could help in this situation, can you give me an example of how to set the axis label length in a formula?

Thanks,
