I have heard previously that Actuate 8.0 has some email capability built in to be able to take an roi and then send it to an email address? Does anyone know anything about this supposedly new capability? Anyone know where I can find more information?

We have a request to create a report and then automatically generate an email to a user depending on each reports specs. This request is supposed to be completed by end of Nov 2005. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Take a look at the notification tab in under server properties when you log in to 'System Administration'.

Here you can register a smtp-server to use for sending e-mails.

When you schedule a job in actuate you can then select who shoud be notified when the job finishes and if the report should be attached in the e-mail.
